Imagine a game featuring flawless graphics, a simple map, and minimal activity. It wouldn’t be an RPG or FPS, but rather a walking simulator.
the dialogue wheel setup and voice acting are likely the most unusual aspects of this game. not just might there be mismatches between what players choose and when characters actually speak, but it also limits how much conversation you can have. the only improvement would probably be a sixth option that adds more lines, but that should have been addressed earlier. i still praise the voice actors for delivering thousands of lines, though... regarding the map, the 11-minute walk claim is misleading because it ignores indoor areas or spots that might be hidden. plus he’s moving along what seems like the shortest possible route, making it hard to say mods will fix or enhance most of the game’s problems—whether they’re bugs or the HUD. there will likely be modders ready to help if needed. if not, bethesda has a lot to improve. i really question those placeholders. bethesda should have demonstrated the game’s quality by now.
Try @1024x768 at reduced settings, then crank up the performance to 100+ FPS for that game. Bethesda is launching with a tiny map and average visuals.

The map size arrived a few days after Fallout 4 was revealed—it's just as detailed in the buildings as it is between them. This means you spend as much time exploring inside as outside. You can also view the map by downloading the Pipboy app today. The graphics shown in the super mutants image came from Bethesda's earlier announcement, and it was tested on an Xbox One. Graphics might not be perfect, but we'll wait until we have them to react.
