Many leaks about the game have been shared, leading to live broadcasts where players demonstrated various aspects before launch. I won’t reveal the full narrative, but I’ll highlight some of the issues others have noticed. Graphics received particular criticism—Bethesda’s marketing on consoles didn’t match the PC experience, especially on ultra settings. The PC version falls short of expectations, even with optimization. Animation quality is another concern; several clips show characters behaving oddly, like blocking doors or reacting strangely. The enemy AI is subpar, though not as bad as in earlier titles. The story remains understated, with many fans expecting a more engaging plot. Animation reuse is common, and the small map size was surprising given the game’s scale. Bugs are present, typical for a Bethesda release. Voice acting feels less immersive, and lip-sync isn’t perfect. Dialogue choices are limited to four options, which can confuse players. Despite these shortcomings, I remain hopeful about the game and recommend waiting if you can. Your opinions matter, but some of you may already have ordered—just be aware of these points.

I believe many people share my view—I’m at least disappointed. I’d like the story to be well explained and the key missions to be obvious, unlike in the past when it was hard to tell if I was dealing with a lengthy side quest or the main plot.

only discuss the visual aspect. yes, they need to reduce graphics for consoles. but if they don’t, and the game stays only on PC, sales will drop significantly. face it—many more people can afford a console than a good gaming machine, and if the game doesn’t perform well, you’ll lose interest in future updates. it would be too expensive and time-consuming to create two entirely different versions of the game.

The voice protagonist isn’t a major concern for me. The choices seem straightforward—Vanilla Fallout 4 resembles a modified F:NV, which is why I didn’t get much excitement. The animations are quite basic, but that’s just what Bethesda tends to do. I haven’t delved into the leaks beyond checking the visuals, but wow, I really hope the story isn’t disappointing. I already have some ideas based on what I’ve heard, so it can’t be too bad. Really? Is the map really that compact? I thought it would be similar in size to Skyrim.

Mods are likely to improve this game, though it may take some time before high-quality versions appear. I’m unlikely to play it when it launches, but a friend who loves Fallout is downloading it for PC anyway—he told me there’d probably be bugs, but he didn’t pay much attention.

Yes, there is a leaked video of it but I can't post it without this thread (likely) getting taken down. Do some googling and you might be able to find it. It was on youtube but Zenimax claimed it and took it down.

It seems to be about something approaching a clear conclusion.

I checked the Kotaku piece and saw the video is already gone. From what I read, there’s more to cover in a shorter format, which explains the reduced map size. Honestly, though, it doesn’t seem like Skyrim had much to offer. I’m a bit let down by that explanation, but I’ll wait for the GOTY release with DLC before picking up Fallout 4.

I'm expecting those placeholder images. The first shot clearly shows a low texture and polycount on ultra, with visible polygon edges on her right shoulder. The second image suggests the HUD was probably created using paint. I won't accept it as the final version. Regarding the dialogue... (cries)
