My computer's USB ports sometimes cut out and then I see that blue screen error.
I bought a brand new computer last year and it's been acting weird ever since. About once every four times I turn on my PC or wake it up from sleep, both the keyboard and mouse suddenly disconnect and reconnect before it just freezes completely (bluescreens). Sometimes restarting helps, but sometimes it doesn't.
People online say touching a key called JBAT1 after turning off the computer can fix this for a short time, which is true, but the problem comes back soon after. I have saved all my crash files and sent them to whocrashed, who analyzed them and said: "Bug check code 0x133 (DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION)." They explained that this happens when they see a processor running too long or not responding quickly enough, often because of bad drivers, slow hardware, or even the CPU getting too hot.
It makes sense to me that since it only happens when I turn things on and not while using them, it's likely a hardware problem. But I don't know enough about computers to figure out exactly what is wrong. Even though I've updated all my drivers to the latest versions, nothing seems to help.
Here are some other logs from before the blue screens started happening:
"RZ616 Wi-Fi 6E 160MHz: Has determined that the network adapter is not functioning properly." It looked like a miniport (a small software part) on my computer had an internal error and said it couldn't work right.
I suspect the motherboard might be broken, but I am unsure if this thing can be fixed or if I have to send the whole thing in for repairs even though I bought it new with these issues already there. My setup includes a PRO b650-S WIFI board (motherboard), an AMD Ryzen 5 8500G graphics card, and 32GB of RAM.
I am really sorry about this because I'm so tired of dealing with it alone. If you can give me any crash files or clues that tell us what is causing the problem and how to fix it, please let me know. Thanks a lot in advance!
Welcome to the forums! I made a brand new computer + My motherboard is the PRO b650-S WIFI, my GPU is AMD Ryzen 5 8500G and my RAM is 32GB. Please list your specs like this: CPU: CPU cooler: Motherboard: Ram: SSD/HDD: GPU: PSU: Chassis: OS: Monitor: include how old the power supply is besides make and model, and what BIOS version you have right now.
Here is the extra specs in a simple way I can understand: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 8500G with Radeon graphics, running at 3551 MHz, having 6 cores and 12 logical processors. The cooler used is Wraith Stealth. Motherboard: PRO B650-S with Wi-Fi (model MS-7E26). Memory: T-CREATE EXPERT Overclocking 10L DDR5 RAM running at 32GB (two sticks of 16GB each), set to 6000MHz or PC5-48000 speed, using CL30 timing and Intel XMP 3.0 along with AMD EXPO compatibility. Storage: A Kingston NV2 SSD in an M.2 2280 slot that is fast (PCIe 4.0 Gen 4x4) up to 3500 MB/s, supporting both SNV2S and 1000G interfaces. Graphics card: Radeon RX 5700 XT with 8GB of video memory. Power supply: GIGABYTE PB500 rated for 80 PLUS Bronze certification. Case: DeepCool CC560 mid-tower computer case. Operating system: Microsoft Windows 11 Home. Monitors: I have two screens, one from a 24B2W model and another from HP with a 24es screen. If you find this helpful, please let me know!
The very first thing I do after putting Windows up is to turn off all the "power saving" stuff so hard drives don't go to sleep after 20 minutes and my monitor stays on all the time. I turn off 'USB selective suspend' - look at option 3 in this link: https://www.minitool.com/news/usb-device...sleep.html Then, I open 'Control Panel', click 'Device Manager', go to 'Universal Serial Bus Controller' and check every single instance of 'USB Root Hub'. I click the 'Power Management' tab and turn off 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power'. I do this on Ethernet and WiFi chipsets too, so they don't shut down when not needed. You might not know if they'll wake back up properly. I know it's not green and I'm wasting energy, but I want a stable system. These settings might help the computer work normally, but I can't promise they will work after the PC comes from Sleep mode. Windows is bad at fixing things when you come back from Sleep. https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/commen...rom_sleep/ https://www.minitool.com/news/usb-device...sleep.html I never use Sleep or Hibernate on a desktop PC, even though it costs about US $0.35 per kilowatt hour if you use them. If there is no cure, just stop using Sleep mode.
