I’ve experienced a significant decline in my computer's performance lately, and it’s been frustrating because I’ve relied on this system for the past two years. My hardware includes a GeForce GTX 1070 Ti, an Intel Core i3-4560 processor, a Strix Z270H Gaming motherboard, and 16 gigabytes of RAM. Previously, I could comfortably play Fortnite at over 200 frames per second with no lag or frame drops, and I consistently achieved 100+ frames in Grand Theft Auto V. Currently, I'm encountering issues such as consistently receiving 60-100 frames in Fortnite, frequent loading delays, and freezes within GTA V. Furthermore, my download speeds have noticeably decreased. I’m at a loss for how to proceed and would greatly appreciate any guidance or suggestions you might offer, thank you.

Initial security checks are essential, followed by a fresh operating system installation after two years can significantly improve system speed.

Following a scan with Malwarebytes, I encountered several flagged items, and subsequently initiated a system reboot. I anticipate observing an improvement in performance at a later time.

Despite experiencing persistent performance issues with my machine, a recent check for infections revealed an unexpected increase in detected threats—a disconcerting situation considering I hadn’t installed any new software.

Regarding temperatures, do they appear satisfactory? Neglecting upkeep previously led to elevated readings that significantly impacted system efficiency.
