I have some knowledge on systems, but still mostly a noob. This is a system from 2018 that was assembled for me. With some online help, I managed to remove all components, clean them and put them back in. I cleaned the AIO (NZXT Kraken I think) and the CPU (i7-8700K) with clean cotton swab dipped in 99% alchohol and got it all clean. Waited a few minutes, applied MX-4 paste and put the AIO back as per the steps and made sure that it is secure. The PC booted with high temps of 99-100 degrees. I shut it off and opened the AIO and see that the paste is thinly distributed with most of the clogging at the sides. I recleaned it and reapplied and tried once more and this time the PC will not show up the bios screen, the monitor is dead. RAM GBU and the AIO lights are lit. I tried checking and ensuring that the AIO is secured properly to the CPU, still not working. https://postimg.cc/jWY9C7hz Any help much appreciated, thanks.

I replaced the old CMOS battery from last week with a new one for my 2019 computer. The fix worked after I checked every power plug to make sure they were all sitting right in place.

Thanks for asking. I fixed that problem back about seven months ago, so I had some issues with the computer starting up then too, and I looked into fixing them before. Now I'm coming back to say my fix didn't work as well as expected. When I removed one RAM stick (the first one), it finally starts working okay. But now the CPU gets really hot again, and the temperature is very high. I don't know what I am doing wrong when installing this AIO cooler. Maybe the computer is just old enough that it can't handle a new setup? Should I replace it instead of trying to fix this one?

which model is this? where do I check for 100 degrees Celsius? under load or just in BIOS mode? any overclocking has been applied yet? did I reset the CMOS to restore default settings, and are the radiator fans spinning from that reset? eventually: can you hear the pump working properly? Is it connected to the motherboard's power header?

Hey sir/maam, you rock! My CPU fan connector was loose and now it's dropping to 32-33. That is totally fine for Indian summers. But it's still not working, I can't even boot up with all four RAM sticks in the slot. Only if I take out the first one will it start. Let me try swapping the RAM into different slots soon. Thanks so much for your help!

It could be the memory stick that's broken or the hole where it goes. Take out the old one and try a different stick. If your computer starts working with the new one, then the stick is bad. If not, then the hole isn't right for it.

Make sure the cooler isn't squeezed on tight. Look closely at the pin holes where the CPU sits to see if any are bent or dirty. Also, touch those contact points with your finger to spot any grime or spots that have faded away from use.

Update: The other three RAM sticks worked fine when I put them in slots one, two, and three. Then I put the tricky one in slot four and it seems to be working right now, even though it wasn't before when there was only one stick on the computer. When I checked the PC details, they show all 32 GB of RAM full. I've rebooted the PC a few times now and everything looks good to me. Thanks so much to everyone for helping me out

run a quick memory test just in case, it could be from loose wires or cables
