My computer won't start after the power outage
I’m sorry if this is in the wrong place—I wasn’t sure where else to share this.
The problem is: after a power outage, my PC won’t power up. I changed the CMOS battery and replaced it, but nothing worked. Even though the PSU is fine and I reassembled everything, turning it off didn’t start it again. (I mean, there’s no response at all—no lights, no fans.)
What might be going on?
Are you relying on a power strip, surge suppressor, or battery backup? Did you reset them after the outage? Did you unplug the PSU, press the case power button to discharge the motherboard, then plug it back in and turn it on by pressing the case start button? This approach has consistently worked for my system after a power cut. I’m using a surge suppressor. Could you share more details? Thank You. It may indicate a problem with your PSU as DaleH inquired about your PSU testing.
Have you verified that the switch operates correctly?
You're receiving no signal, which implies the power isn't reaching your motherboard; the switch or a fuse could be the cause.
Do you have any LEDs on your motherboard to confirm power is active?
If your PC isn't producing any output (you confirmed testing your PSU, but it's not being activated through the switch), that might explain the issue.
