My computer stops the TVs from working in my home.
Our family of four uses both TVs at night before bed. But whenever I turn on the computer, the TVs get switched off on channel 10. We tried fixing it with foil, changing power cords, and lowering the PC's power use, but nothing works. The only thing we know is that the computer needs a lot of power. It's worse because both TVs are right next to each other in the house, so they get turned off too while we're using the computer.
If getting cut off on channel 10 means your TV goes dark instead of just buffering, it's probably because a computer's power spike tripped the circuit that also feeds your TV. This often depends on how you wired your house. It's more likely the router and modem got too busy from all the traffic coming from your PC than your connection broke. What kind of lines are you using? Are they Wi-Fi or a direct Ethernet cable?
