I was using city skylines 2 at night and my computer crashed. I pressed the power button to shut it down and reset, but it wouldn’t turn back on. After replacing the PSU and removing everything except the CPU and motherboard, it still wouldn’t power up. I’ve put a new CMOS battery in but nothing works; the single fan spins and then stops.

I’m unsure if my motherboard is damaged or if there’s another issue I’m missing.
My system specs are: B650 Pro TUF gaming MB, MSI 4070, 2x Crucial M.2 2TB, 2x 16GB SSD, 2x Samsung 2TB SSD, DDR5 7200 Trident Z 5 RAM, Ryzen 9 7950X, and a Corsair HX1200 PSU (I also tried a 1000W RM1000X).

Remove all ssd drives and one ram; only one ram remains in dimm slot a2. Restart now.

I've attempted that, but it doesn't start up at all, not even without using any RAM and without any memory issues.

It seems like the system is not responding properly, and you're experiencing issues with the RAM slots. You've already tested two different RAM sticks without success.

It's definitely not my motherboard, since I bought a new one and the same issue persists. Probably the CPU... for a 7950Xd that's only six months old, it isn't very reliable...
My Ryzen 5 3600 from 2019 is still working well... I think it might have been Cities Skyline 2 and Ark Ascended for more than a month each day, around 8 hours daily. I've heard about GPUs melting, but not CPUs failing because of games.

If the CPU was simply defective, we have the warranty. Nothing further needed to be done.
