My system includes a fresh Corsair power supply unit delivering 750 watts, and the temperatures are low. I’ve experimented with numerous settings, excluding BIOS updates.
Components:
Motherboard: ASUSTek Computer INC. ASUSTeK P8Z68 DELUXE/GEN3
Power Supply: Corsair 750 Watt
Processor: Intel i7 3770k
CPU Cooler: AIO liquid cooler
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RAM
Graphics Card: EVGA 1070TI
I replaced my recent power supply with a used Corsair 1200-watt unit. Strangely, the PCIe connectors didn't align with my previous PSU, despite believing them to be compatible. Utilizing my older power supply resolved the issue entirely, and I experienced no system failures.
Verify that your graphics card drivers are current – consider utilizing Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) for a complete removal and reinstall.
Confirm that your graphics card temperatures are consistently stable.
Assess the electrical power supply by verifying voltage levels at both the wall outlet and within your computer’s vicinity.
Inspect your motherboard for potential issues by examining its voltage readings.
Evaluate the power supply’s performance under load, monitoring voltage levels during gameplay.
Repeat temperature checks while playing games to ensure stability is being maintained.
What's the best way to measure the electrical potential of a power supply unit? Additionally, I’m successfully running 3DMark Time Spy without any problems; my temperatures are consistently within ideal ranges, with the CPU staying below 65 degrees Celsius and the GPU not exceeding 73 degrees Celsius. I'm beginning to suspect that my power supply unit might be unable to provide sufficient wattage.
The attached screenshot displays HWInfo, and you should assess whether everything appears to be functioning as it should.
I replaced my recent power supply unit with a used Corsair 1200-watt model. Strangely, the PCIe power connectors wouldn’t connect to my previous PSU, which was peculiar since I believed those were standard. Utilizing my older power supply resolved the issue entirely, and there have been no system failures.
For precise voltage readings, utilizing either a voltmeter or a multimeter is recommended.
