Just to confirm, I was planning to paste the entire discussion from Reddit, but I thought it would be simpler for everyone to read directly here. Still, if needed, I’ll share it as is.

Hey everyone, I’m new to Reddit and even less familiar with this community. I’ve tried reaching out to IT contacts, searching through videos and forums, but haven’t gotten anywhere. I’d really appreciate any help you can provide. My friend Matoi and I have been dealing with these black screen problems for over a year now. The issue mainly happens when all our monitors—three of them connected via DisplayPort—go dark simultaneously. It’s not like the screens are turning off; instead, whatever is running on them just stops and turns black. It usually occurs randomly, but often during gaming, video editing, or live streams.

Matoi has faced more severe problems, including hard locks where the only fix is restarting the system or using a BIOS reset. I’ve experienced this hard lock situation only a couple of times, but it’s still something I’ve dealt with.

About my setup: I built the system myself, mostly purchasing parts from Newegg except the processor, which came from Best Buy.

Specs:
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X (8 cores)
- Motherboard: ASUS ROX Strix B550-F Gaming
- RAM: G.Skill Trident Z, 32GB (2x16GB), DDR4 at 3600 MHz
- GPU: ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3060 (12GB)
- Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 750 GA, Gold 80 Plus
- Matoi’s PC: Prebuilt from BuildRedux, stock components except RAM due to an OBS memory leak.

Current RAM: 2 x 32GB HyperX Fury
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 8 cores, 3.60 GHz
GPU: GeForce RTX 3060

We’re both experiencing the same problem, which is frustrating. We share streaming habits—we use GoXLRs, Elgato Wave 1 for sub, and a Rode Podmic. We also run Sonic Adventure DX. At one point we suspected the issue was game-related, so we reset everything and reinstalled, but it persisted.

I’m eager to resolve this so we can keep streaming and enjoy our content without fear of random crashes or black screens. I’ll keep following this thread, but if you don’t see much activity, feel free to check out my Twitter: https://twitter.com/Badlex727 and my link here: https://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1srvd0s.

Thanks to anyone reading this, and for any advice you can share!

Additionally, I’ve explored more about the overall setup. Here’s a summary of what I found:

I’m still getting accustomed to Reddit, especially this particular subreddit. I attempted to reach out to IT colleagues and searched through various videos and forums, but didn’t get much help. I’m really hoping for some guidance. My partner Matoi and I have been experiencing these black screen problems for over a year now. The issue mainly occurs when all our monitors—three of them connected via DisplayPort—go dark simultaneously. It’s not that the screens are off, but rather that whatever is running on them just stops and turns black. This tends to happen randomly, though it usually occurs during gaming, video editing, or live streaming.

Matoi has faced more severe problems, including hard locks where the only solution is a system restart or entering BSoD mode. I’ve only encountered this hard lock situation a couple of times, but it’s definitely something I’ve dealt with before.

Here’s a quick rundown of my system:

- **Processor:** AMD Ryzen 7 3700X (8-core)
- **Motherboard:** ASUS ROX Strix B550-F Gaming
- **RAM:** G.Skill Trident Z, 32GB total (2x16GB)
- **GPU:** ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3060 (12GB)
- **Power Supply:** EVGA SuperNOVA 750 GA, Gold 80 Plus
- **Build:** Self-assembled PC from Newegg (except the CPU, which came from Best Buy)
- **Current RAM:** 2 x 32GB HyperX Fury
- **CPU Speed:** 3.60 GHz
- **Other hardware:** Standard components, no custom upgrades

I’m open to any advice or resources that could help resolve this. If you have more details or links, it would be great!

When the black screen appears, does the audio continue playing in the background? If so, it might indicate a problem with the NVIDIA driver. This can occur occasionally because NVIDIA simplifies their drivers to match older AMD versions =P...

It seems you're asking about audio playback behavior. Are you referring to sound that appears to be stuck or frozen? If so, it typically runs normally unless it encounters an issue, after which the audio may stop.
