Hello, my PC crashed while installing Fortnite and my FPS are unstable, ranging from 240 to 40 frames per second. Some friends suggest it's due to the Chapter 2 Season 2 update causing FPS problems for others, but I don’t believe this is my issue because I previously achieved stable 200 FPS.

I do not play Fortnite, but my brother does. I need to ask you a question: what is your computer configuration? If you have changed your motherboard or other components, that may be the cause of the issue. Alternatively, viruses could be responsible.

Intel Core i5-4460 at 3.20 GHz, Radeon RX 570 with 8 GB of VRAM, 2 x 4 GB RAM. GPU temperature ranges from 65 to 70 degrees Celsius, consistently requiring increased fan speeds to maintain a temperature of approximately 55 degrees Celsius.

My device has identical specifications using USB Wi-Fi instead of an Ethernet cable.

I noticed that when I set my FPS to 144 maximum, I still have a stable FPS, but when I increase it, it starts to become weird again.

The CPU temperature is what? Limiting FPS reduces CPU and GPU workload, potentially due to various factors.

At age sixty-five, I recently observed that during a Fort game at the beginning of the year, I had downloaded a WHQL driver.
