I assembled my machine roughly six months ago
Mobo: MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max
GPU: RTX 2070
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600x
Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB 3600 Mhz
PSU: EVGA SuperNova 650 GA, 80 Plus Gold
CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo

When I first set up the system, I achieved solid performance in games like Apex Legends, GTA V, CSGO, and most others. Within a week, I upgraded my CPU cooler thinking the original one wasn’t sufficient. After installation, my machine’s speed dropped significantly. Over the past six months, I’ve experienced around 250-300 FPS in Apex Legends at low settings, now about 150-180 FPS. In GTA Online on full settings, I’m near 40-60 FPS. All drivers are current, BIOS updated, Windows reinstalled, and I’ve reset the system completely—still no improvement.

Since installing the cooler, my RAM hasn’t reached its intended 3600MHz due to crashes in games. I’ve checked for errors with MemTest86X, found none, and tried reseating components without success. Temperatures remain stable, CPU stays under 70°C, GPU under 68°C during full loads. It seems the issue lies more with hardware than software.

EDIT: UserBenchmarks reports no significant problems

the ssd is filling up quickly and requires more space, looking for 10-20% availability.

I can't imagine that being it as all my games are installed on my HDD with around a 1 TB left. I will try it and I will see if anything changes.

I have approximately 60 GB available out of a total 237 GB.
After some additional cleanup, I now have 100 GB remaining from the same total.
Still no progress has been made.
