My computer isn't turning on.
Hello, I just took out my graphics card to use my igpu. Since removing the GPU, my system won’t power on anymore. I’ve tried resetting the CMOS, reinstalling the GPU, flashing the BIOS, and booting with just one stick of RAM. I don’t have an extra power supply, anyone have ideas or suggestions beforehand?
Is the system ready to start in Safe Mode? Verify that every connection, card, RAM, jumpers, and case connectors are securely attached. It's possible something was accidentally dislodged.
It's quite odd I have quick release, so I didn<|pad|> to not bump any, but I also attempted to reseat the case io cable. When I turned off the computer before swapping the GPU, I used the power button on the case. I'm wondering if I might have damaged something and could send a video showing what's happening right now.
The first time I turned it off, it was connected to an ups battery backup with a built-in surge protector and the sole other device was my monitor, which is still functioning. Now I'm testing it on a power strip-style surge protector and my router is also connected to it.
Yeah, I'm a bit confused tomorrow. I'm planning to use one stick in each slot and check if it works, and I'll also run the paper clip test on my PSU. If the PSU isn't the issue, I'll hope it's not the processor or the motherboard. The RMA process might complicate things for university, and I'm not looking forward to classes on my phone. Still hoping someone has a solution by tomorrow.
