My computer isn't performing at its best.
Over the last couple of years I’ve been gradually improving and replacing components in my PC to reach its current state. But it seems there might be an issue—my system isn’t performing as expected in most games, and it lags more than anticipated. I was hoping for some advice before investing in all-new parts. My current setup includes a Ryzen 5 5600X, MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS, an EVGA 450W 80+ Bronze PSU, 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, and the XFX Speedster QICK 210 Radeon RX 6500X. At low settings, 1080p at 85% resolution, it runs around 50–60 FPS, but drops significantly when jumping quickly or entering my capital ship—sometimes as low as 15 FPS for a few seconds. I’m concerned something is wrong since I’m still in-game and the Task Manager shows only 65–80% usage even with Adrenaline Edition overclocking VRAM. I also tried GPU auto-overclocking, but it didn’t improve performance. I’m fairly experienced building PCs but not much beyond assembly. What should I do next?
