Here are my computer specs: Intel Core i7 4770 processor, a 3.4 GHz speed, Radeon RX 570 graphics card with four gigabytes of VRAM, and an MSI MS-7817 motherboard. I also have an Acer S230HL monitor. Anyway, I've been playing games like Fortnite and Apex Legends on this setup and they run okay for now. But lately, my screen is acting up. It freezes sometimes for up to one or two seconds in a game. I think the problem is the monitor because lowering the graphics settings didn't fix it; that stuttering still happens. I tried turning things like power options to high performance but the freezing is back. This isn't tiny pauses, it's big freezes of 1-2 seconds that keep happening when I play these games.

Do they get this problem when playing games without an internet connection? Sometimes lagging happens because of slow connections or bad internet links.

It sounds like your internet is acting up and giving you slow speeds. If other people in your home are streaming big movies or games, that might be hurting yours too. Also, if something else is using your line while you play, it could cause problems. Finally, maybe the servers you're talking to aren't even close by?

Hmmm, I'm pretty sure none of that is going on. Stuttering happens only when my connection is slow or broken. Also, I picked a server near my area that makes my internet super fast at 20 ping.

What is your connection speed? Does it stay the same even after you try to use it? Sometimes things slow down because of how many other people are using that network at once. If some friends or family have weak signals, your internet could lag and cause stuttering.

Hey there, I know this post is really old but just wanted to help anyone else who stumbles across this problem. I ran some checks and realized it was because my CPU got way too hot. I took apart the PC and put in fresh thermal paste, and everything feels good again! Have a great day.
