Greetings. To begin, let me outline my system’s specifications:

Power Supply Unit: 750W
Graphics Card: GigaByte RTX 2060 with 6GB of VRAM
Processor: Intel i5-7400 at 3.5 GHz
Memory: 8GB of RAM, running at 2133MHz
My difficulty lies in the fact that demanding games—such as *Shadow of the Tomb Raider* and *Forza Horizon 4*—perform exceptionally well at maximum settings (consistently above 60 frames per second). However, less demanding titles like *Grand Theft Auto V* and *Fortnite* experience significant frame rate reductions during gameplay, particularly in the middle of extended sessions. I’ve already updated my operating system and all NVIDIA drivers, but these performance issues persist. What might be causing this unusual behavior? Essentially, my PC isn't functioning as it ought to.

Your limited 8 Gigabyte RAM is likely hindering performance significantly. It’s only half the amount needed to fully utilize your processor's bandwidth, resulting in either system paging to storage or sluggish loading times due to the constrained data transfer rate.

Is it your assertion that if I add an additional 8GB of RAM, bringing the total to 16GB, my difficulties will be resolved?

Likely, but avoid using incompatible rams; instead, sell your current ram and purchase a set of two 2x8 gigabyte modules that are compatible with your motherboard's specifications.

Here’s a brief update: I recently ran a test using UserBenchmark, and it indicated that my memory is performing significantly below anticipated levels. Furthermore, my processor’s frequency is currently 3.0 GHz at its base speed and has reached 3.3 GHz during turbo mode.

You are currently utilizing a single channel configuration instead of dual, as Wolf suggested. It would be beneficial to sell your existing RAM and purchase a kit with 2x8GB of enhanced memory – you will observe a significant improvement in performance.

Could I simply obtain a replacement RAM kit identical to the one I currently have?

There’s no absolute certainty it will succeed, and even if you were fortunate enough for it to function, the performance won’t match what’s promised. Memory producers rigorously test their components, and working modules are frequently bundled into ‘kits,’ leading to higher prices than individual units. Combining kits or separate modules is generally discouraged, as compatibility isn't assured, even when the specifications appear identical. This doesn’t signify that it will inevitably fail, but potential problems remain a possibility.

alright then one last question . is a 2x8 Ram 1600Mhz good or should I go with a 2400mhz for better performance ( iam on a tight budget) !?
at last I want my pc to run as expected even if I have to pay more. I have just got an rtx 2060 and still cant get a performance difference on most games because of the issues we disccused

You will not locate a DDR4 1600MHz set. My understanding is that these began at 2133 MHz. 2400 MHz would likely be suitable instead.
