Greetings,

I've been experiencing problems recently with Battlefield V and Star Wars Battlefront 2, which are causing my computer to crash. These freezes only occur within those specific games after approximately an hour of play, and they sometimes happen spontaneously, with varying durations. I'm considering whether a high GPU demand might be the root cause, as both games consistently reach 90% utilization even when in the main menu (particularly Star Wars Battlefront 2). My system specifications are: i7-9700k, GTX 1060 6GB, Z390 Extreme4, 16GB DDR4 3200MHz. My processor is substantially more powerful than my graphics card, which likely places a significant strain on the GPU – but could this actually lead to complete system freezes? I welcome any advice that might assist in resolving these issues until I can upgrade my graphics card to a 2070 or 2080 – assuming that even does the trick.

What is the brand and model of your power supply unit? What are the temperatures of your processor and graphics card while playing a game?
