My computer is acting really bad for a long time now.
My PC keeps acting up in weird ways; sometimes the USB ports suddenly stop working, making music crackle or cut off while streaming video, and sometimes the RGB lights on my keyboard flash for a second before going dark. I can't log out of Windows 11 anymore, and I even lose some drive ports so I'm forced to restart the whole system hoping it will fix itself. My computer has an Intel chip from five years ago running an older BIOS version, but I bought a new CPU last year that's supposed to be better. I have plenty of RAM (64 gigs) and a few solid drives, though one is marked as disabled in Device Manager even though it's physically removed from the case. The hard drive used for about nine years was from 2023, which makes me think something wrong might be inside. Recently, after installing a new SSD to replace my old one, everything started crashing again. Now, sometimes the PC just won't stay on for five minutes without stopping, showing no black screen but lots of stuttering and dropping WiFi or keyboard connections. I also have a gaming mouse that stays connected fine via daisy chain, but the computer still fails sometimes when it turns off. My tech support team suggested it might be an issue with my motherboard because the Intel chip seems to cause too many errors, even though other software checks didn't find anything wrong. I feel like I'm completely stuck and don't know what to do anymore.
Hi there! You got 64 gigs of Corsair XMP ram, but it's not on the support list for your Carraras setup. Do you have a link about that specific ram kit? Your system uses an Asrock Taichi Carrara with a x670e BIOS version 3.2. Maybe switching to BIOS version 3.16 could help fix the problem. Also, did you reinstall the operating system while offline (without cloning your drive)?
