My PC becomes unresponsive during gameplay, despite the audio stream remaining active. Certain games also experience complete failures. I've exhausted my troubleshooting options. Temperatures remain consistent.

My graphics card, central processing unit, and random access memory utilization—even at maximum configurations within these titles—never exceeds 80%. I’ve also attempted to run the games with their lowest settings, but the freezes persist. The issue appears when playing Rust and Divinity Original Sin 2 (a relatively light title). I've implemented several solutions including a system restart and virus scans.

I have a 1080 TI with 11GB of memory, an i7-8700k processor, 16 GB of DDR4-3000 RAM, a z370-E motherboard, and an 850 Watt power supply, all running Windows 10 Pro.

Search for “Windows Memory Diagnostic” in the Windows search bar and proceed with the provided instructions.

Regarding hard drive assessments, visit your HDD manufacturer’s website to download their dedicated software application for performing disk examinations.

For instance, this link leads to Western Digital’s SSD app, which includes the SMART test accessible under the “TOOLS” tab. Each manufacturer offers a unique tool; typically, there is a distinct application designed specifically for SSDs and traditional rotating hard drives.

Assuming favorable temperatures and with no issues detected by either memory testing or storage diagnostics, we should investigate the power supply. Please execute memory tests and verify the status of your hard drives/SSDs, and report back if all tests pass successfully.

Conditions are optimal, routes are clear, and after testing various fully functional memory systems, I consistently achieve identical outcomes.

Changing memory to various slots doesn't demonstrate the health of the memory system—you might encounter a low voltage problem or numerous motherboard problems that become apparent only through testing and error detection.

How can you verify the hard drives are operating correctly? Have you used their respective manufacturer’s diagnostic software and examined the SMART data?

Could you please outline the process for executing these tests, if it’s alright with you?

I am experiencing a comparable problem. It’s freezing approximately 30 minutes into gameplay with specific titles.
