Hello everyone,

I recently assembled my computer approximately two weeks ago, and I've begun experiencing occasional still images that typically manifest after 10-20 minutes of gaming. These interruptions appear at unpredictable moments and occur regardless of whether I'm playing graphically demanding or less intensive games. Notably, the audio remains unaffected by these freezes.

I’ve investigated using Task Manager and found that component utilization remains consistently below 30% – even on the ryzen master program, which indicates an Excessive Die Current (EDC) exceeding the limit (140). I’ve tried several different power plans, but these changes haven't resolved the issue.

You can find more details in another thread I posted on a different forum, along with Speccy screenshots: Random PC Freezes during Gameplay.

My system specifications are as follows:

* RTX 2070
* AMD Ryzen™ 7 2700X Processor
* Aorus X470 Motherboard
* Kingston SSD (480GB)
* 1TB Hard Drive – Barracuda

I hope someone can offer assistance.

At what thermal levels are you experiencing after approximately 10 to 20 minutes?

Decreases in software performance with the passage of time often indicates a temperature-related issue. It frequently exhibits a tendency toward this type of problem.

Using my AMD Ryzen 7 1800X, I needed to disable Simultaneous Multithreading in my computer's settings for dependable performance within games. Furthermore, could you tell me about your memory? Certain RAM configurations have presented difficulties with my Ryzen processors while playing games.
