I currently own a 4K, 60Hz monitor. However, when I utilize resolutions like 1440x1080 or any stretched resolution, the display inexplicably drops to 30Hz. Can you help me understand why this is occurring and how I can achieve a consistent 60Hz refresh rate?

To adjust your monitor's refresh rate within Windows, begin by right-clicking on the desktop and selecting “Display Settings.” Then, in the Display section, locate and click on your monitor’s name. You'll find a dropdown menu labeled “Advanced Display Settings.” Click that to access more options. From there, you should see a choice labeled “Refresh Rate”. Select your desired refresh rate from the available list, and Windows will update accordingly.
