Hi guys. I own a 3770k and an MSI G43 Z77. When I check the CPU voltages in hwmonitor, I see it's always around 1.3v. Sometimes it drops to 1.06v, but usually it stays at 1.3v. I believe this is typical for a 4.5ghz OC. Why is the voltage so high? The boost is active, so the CPU runs at a steady 3.9ghz, and even when idle it's still 3.9ghz. My idle temperatures range from 38 to 53 degrees, changing quickly within a second. What do you think about this situation? Thanks.

I believe motherboards come with more than enough extra voltage. My system (i7-7700K/MSI Z270) behaves similarly, often exceeding 1.3V when left on the stock or auto Vcore settings, which raises temperatures. I adjust my Vcore manually to a lower value, around 1.225V. I’m not sure what the ideal setting should be for the 3770K, you’ll need to experiment until you find the right balance.

The problem is that motherboard doesnt let me adjust voltage settings. There is just an option that increasing voltage by 0.05v and its times.

As per the discussion on the forum link, that specific motherboard restricts significant adjustments to the voltage.

But it doesn't operate at the standard voltage. That's the issue. The default should be 1.05, probably. Even with that voltage, I might achieve 4.2ghz.
