I'm working with an MSI B550 MAG Mortar Wifi motherboard and a Ryzen 5 5600x processor. I've been using this setup for a few weeks without any problems. Recently, during a reboot, the MSI Dragon Center display showed an unusually high CPU temperature of 186°C. When I restarted, the BIOS displayed a socket temperature of 0°C, with all fans operating normally. The RAM is set to XMP profile 1 for performance, but the CPU remains at its default setting. Fan speeds are listed as 0 RPM in Dragon Center, though the actual fans are running at full speed. The internal case temperature seems acceptable, and nearby components appear fine. I opened HWINFO64 and the motherboard temperatures read -69.5°C and -83°C, respectively. In both Dragon Center and HWINFO, the CPU core temperature fluctuates between 33-36°C. The voltage is consistently at 1.25V, which matches the default setting in silent mode. I usually adjust the system to silent mode for quieter operation, but it was functioning normally before. One thing that stood out is the CPU voltage staying steady at 1.25V, unlike its typical range of 0.9-1.0V in silent mode. This behavior is unusual and might indicate a hardware or configuration issue. I’m not able to change the silent mode settings directly, and any changes would require replacing the GPU. Everything else seems normal except for the persistent high CPU temperature reading and fan behavior. I’m hoping there’s a workaround or a way to adjust these settings without swapping components.

I’ll mention that the CPU fan will appear at the top on the Dragon Center gauge, yet not in the text section below. It looks odd that it’s detecting it from one source but not another. If I change the profile to balanced or extreme performance, the fan reading will change (about 50% for balanced and 100% for extreme).

I’ll mention that the CPU fan will appear at the top on the Dragon Center gauge, yet not in the text section below. It looks odd that it’s detecting it from one source but not another. If I change the profile to balanced or extreme performance, the fan reading will change (about 50% for balanced and 100% for extreme).

I'm just making a quick update and hoping for some feedback. From my earlier comments, it seems the CPU temperature sensor is now consistently showing 10°C even when the system is under load. I'm not too concerned about the actual readings yet because the machine remains cool enough, but I'm having trouble getting any display or monitoring tool to recognize the sensors properly (like HWINFO, Dragon Center, OCCT, Speccy, CPUID, etc.). It feels odd since not all sensors failed at once—first the socket temperature dropped, then the others followed over the next few days. It doesn't make much sense to me...
