Hello everyone, I recently assisted a friend with his PC but have been facing several blue screen problems. The error codes we received were irql_not_less_or_equal and "Attempted execute of no execute memory." Unfortunately, I don’t have direct access to the machine and have been quite occupied, yet I attempted to figure out the cause. We updated the BIOS and tried enabling and disabling XMP profiles, but it didn’t help. The blue screens appear unexpectedly—while playing games like League or Halo, watching streams, or even chatting in Discord. Any advice would be invaluable! Components listed include a Ryzen 3600X, Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4, Gigabyte Aorus x570 Pro, a 650W PSU, Nvidia GTX 1660ti 6G, and a Samsung 970 EVO Plus. I’m running Windows 10 Pro with Bitdefender Antivirus and using a high refresh GSync monitor. Thanks in advance for your support!
The error ATTEMPTED_EXECUTE_OF_NOEXECUTE_MEMORY could stem from outdated drivers, software corruption, malware, or memory issues. To help resolve this, please confirm the device's memory health using Windows Memory Diagnostic. Open Run by pressing Windows + R, type mdsched.exe and press Enter. Follow the prompts to run the scan. If the test finds no problems, consider updating your drivers. Also, check if a fresh Windows installation might be the cause—look into performing a clean boot to see if it fixes the problem.
I faced a comparable problem with 3200Mhz RAM on my Aorus B450. It might be related to the memory timings. If you share your timings, I could assist further.
Hello! The memory diagnostic showed no problems. It was a fresh Windows installation, and I'll consider the clean boot option later. @Mickeysgun I've shared a screenshot of his memory usage.
They've informed me that all drivers are now updated. I'll follow up if the problems continue.
Remove all Gigabyte motherboard drivers, they cause many issues with Windows 1909, generate excessive BSOD, and memorytest64 is installed on a USB stick for PC testing. I also have significant BSOD problems on my new build, but running memory tests from Windows shows no errors—only around 3000 mistakes in ten minutes. I’ve already taken the machine to service since I have a warranty on all components. In my experience, it’s likely the motherboard is damaged, and the memory stick might be faulty.
It might be related to a faulty motherboard, since I encountered the same issues with my latest setup. Run that test again.
