Last night my motherboard began acting up. I missed four of my RAM modules and swapped in the identical one, but the BIOS still doesn’t list the CPU speed. I thought that was strange and looked up information. It turns out the ME firmware isn’t present in the BIOS, just showing N/A. I attempted to install a ME BIOS, but it didn’t work. The status remains unchanged. Is this issue solvable or is the card no longer functional? CPU speed reads as 0 and ME firmware unavailable. Please advise if there’s anything I can do.

I worked with a Z77A-GD65 extensively and never encountered anything like it. Pushing beyond the BIOS release updates would prevent overclocking. Your problem seems unusual—have you tried booting from a BIOS on a USB drive? My system had an option to use a BIOS file from a USB instead of flashing.

I didn't find that choice; I noticed only the flashing option via USB and a live update. It seems the motherboard might be defective.

Your Z77A-GD65 began displaying the same issues before you chose to retire it. Is your BIOS setting let you flash the firmware together with the BIOS? Would you be prompted to confirm if you also want the firmware updated?

I can pick between an update or an update with the ME. I go with the latter, though it still displays "n/a"
