I’m only acquainted with q-code as resembling 10-codes used in CB radios but for shipping wireless telegraph equipment. It’s likely over a hundred years old. Each code was three characters long, starting with “Q,” functioning like 2-character codes that conveyed different meanings—similar to CB 10 codes, with the most common being “10-4” for “message received.” ASUS had its own method for displaying debugging codes, which they called Q-codes, though these weren’t shown on the main screen. In fact, 9E was reserved for future use. I think MSI might have employed something comparable, but it’s unclear if they’d use the same key. It’s also unlikely to show up on a monitor, though. Are you asking about the two-character code on a motherboard debug readout? If yes, you’ll find a key in your manual to decode it.

I wouldn’t be concerned unless I had to perform a malware check, just in case. This habit kicks in automatically whenever something unusual occurs.
