Consider using a B550-f or something similar like a tomahawk mag. The mortar you mentioned won’t be necessary since the B550 offers a great VRM solution that can easily manage a 3700x. It’s also generally more affordable.

You should also consider alternatives such as the B550 Tomahawk, B550M Mortar, and Strix B550-F. The X570 Gaming Pro Carbon seems less appealing to me.
