MSI vs Asrock
MSI vs Asrock
i plan on using the ryzen 2600 and when looking for a motherboard i came across the ASRock B450M Steel Legend. i had decided to use this motherboard for my first build. But when inquiring for a parts list i came across this mobo MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX . So now the main question is which one should i go for? I should mention that the store that i plan on buying from has a mobo+cpu combo which for both mobos. this combo includes the ryzen 5 2600 and either one of those mobos i just mentioned. There's a price difference of $5 between the combos (msi is higher) so which one is the better deal? The MSI combo or The ASRock combo
Using memory allows you to either boost its clock speed to raise bandwidth or reduce its CAS timings to cut latency. Generally, faster memory needs higher latencies to maintain stability. Overclocking often focuses on pushing memory clocks higher while minimizing CAS delays. Testing is necessary to understand the impact on your system and find the best balance between speed and responsiveness.
It's difficult to generalize. Certain games react more to RAM speed than others. Below are two videos that evaluate this across multiple titles. They should provide a solid estimate of performance expectations. Memory size + Single vs Dual Channel RAM speed
