Ryzen 5 5600 paired with G.Skill Ripjaws 32GB, 3200MHz DDR4, cooler Master 240 AIO, MSI Ventus 3080 12GB, MSI X470 gaming plus 7B79 motherboard. Comes with 2 ASRock Phantom PG27Q15R2A 27" 1440p 240Hz monitors and a StarTech.com 1 Port PCIe Gigabit Network Server Adapter NIC Card (Dual Profile, Gigabit Desktop). CPU supports Intel 6-chip. PSU: StarTech Crucial 1TB NVMe 2280. Motherboard: MSI SPATIUM Series M482 M.2 2280 2TB PCI-Express 4.0 x4, 3.5TB HDD. Passed stress tests, Windows fresh install, no performance drop. Tried reverting to an older NVIDIA driver version and adjusted power settings in both NVIDIA Control Panel and Windows. Set G-Sync off, lowered Hz to 60, tested at 30Hz. Power draw stayed steady at 100W idle, spiking to 320W under heavy load (80%+). Afterburner settings matched standard benchmarks. No signs of overheating or failure. I’m planning a BIOS update to the latest release and hope this resolves the issue. If anyone else faces similar problems, please share solutions. Concerned about long-term reliability given consistent high power draw.}

I'm having trouble with the game. I adjusted the refresh rate to check, but it didn't help.

It makes sense given the power rating. The concern lies in achieving that low load at idle. Running something like Wallpaper Engine could be the reason.

I have Wallpaper Engine disabled and stopped auto-launching to eliminate those possibilities. I also run NVIDIA Broadcast for background noise, but it’s still at 100 watts even when turned off. Even without it active, the mic remains at 100 watts with only 5% usage. It’s not being used in any voice chats or audio sessions.

Are you familiar with these methods besides Microsoft's? Because your graphics card isn't completely inactive.
