Hello everyone I have had an issue with my display signal for a very long time and never managed to do anything about it. My Dell S2716DG monitor registers no input signal from my MSI RTX2070 card if the monitor is turned on after the PC. The PC and monitor are connected via DisplayPort. Under normal circumstances everything works perfectly but if I e.g. boot my PC directly to VR remotely while the monitor is turned off for power saving reasons, I have to reboot if I want to get a signal to the monitor. Additionally I sometimes use the HDMI input on the monitor with a laptop and if I power on my main PC before changing the input port on the monitor I will have to reboot the main PC to recieve a signal. This is actually a minor inconvenience but I wonder if there could be a way to force the GPU and the monitor to register each other apart from a reboot? I have no idea whether the problem is related to the monitor, GPU or DP in general, as all my troubleshooting so far has been without useful findings but I do know that trying to google the issue returns around a billion troubleshooting guides for when the monitor never recieves a signal.
