You recently purchased the B550 and Ryzen 7 5700 processors, but some users mention outdated BIOS information from years ago. This could be due to the BIOS not being updated, which may cause errors or incompatibility issues. It’s advisable to check the latest BIOS version for your motherboard and update it if necessary.

It's feasible, the bio won't trigger an error if the version lacks CPU support—it will simply not post, requiring an update to a compatible CPU.

It's feasible that the 'MSI MPG B550 Gaming plus' model runs a BIOS version incompatible with the Ryzen 5700. No issues will arise; the system won't boot or fail to enter BIOS mode. Installing a 5700 won't cause harm if the BIOS isn't supported—just update it. The motherboard includes BIOS Flashback, making it simple to upgrade the BIOS without needing a compatible CPU.
