Hi Everyone, I had a bad dream last night while working on my first build. I forgot the M.2 screw was missing. The board is a B460 Mag Torpedo, though I think most MSI boards use the same dimensions. The spacing slots are already there, so I just need that tiny screw to secure the SSD. I’ve read (almost literally) hundreds of threads about this—most say the screw is in a small bag inside the motherboard case. After searching for over three hours, I still can’t find a clear answer. Is there a definitive size for MSI screws? From what I see, M2.0 x 2.5mm seems common, but other sources differ. One thing is certain: manufacturers vary widely in sizes. I could buy a kit with many different screw types, but knowing the exact one would help. It seems like this info might be missing from the web. Thanks ahead! P.S. From what I found, MSI and Gigabyte might share the same size, so if you’re not familiar with MSI but know Gigabyte, let me know.

Reach out to MSI support and claim your device was brand new, only missing the M.2 screws. They should forward the screws via email within a few days if you follow this request.

I don't understand the dimensions, but a part search leads me to this Amazon listing, which could assist in recognizing the component. It looks like the seller provides two sizes for MSI boards, one of which matches what you mentioned. https://www.amazon.com/M-2-Mounting-Scre...B0871ZF33N

Confirmed. MSI'S response: contact the retailer. In fairness they are willing to provide the information so I'll share it when I have it. Their 1st attempt was a broken link to a jpg. I'm awaiting the response.
