Hey guys so im trying to upgrade my cpu to a 14700K and i got the asus prime Z790-a wifi and ive been having some issues booting and ive been told now that the bios isint formatted for the 14th gen intels and im unable to get to bios and upgrade it. i think i will return the board but does anyone know a board that supports 14th gen out of the box does the MSI - MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI?
There are numerous options available, and using a BIOS Flashback board (anything except low to midrange ASUS models) lets you update the BIOS via a flash drive. The Tomahawk Max should work, though many MSI boards have encountered problems with their 14th gen BIOS updates. For a 14th gen compatible board, the Z790 Aorus Elite X AX is likely your best choice.
