No audios, no controls. Only the fan and mainboard lights are active. I’m sure I placed the 24-pin correctly into my B250M-K motherboard, and the split 8-pin CPU has one 4-pin connector plugged into its power port. What should I do to resolve this and what mistakes did I make?

Consider reinstalling the RAM and updating the CMOS. Also, try reconnecting all peripherals, as conflicts might lead to a blank screen (though unlikely). It doesn’t seem like a GPU issue, but reseating it could help. You might also need to check if the RAM module is faulty.

I used two DDR4 8GB sticks, took one away, restarted, but nothing happened. After waiting a while (about an hour) and then putting it back in, it still didn’t work. I cleared the CMOS by removing the battery and waiting a bit, then reinserted it and tried again. The graphics card was reconnected but still failed. I also tried plugging it into the integrated setup and restarted.

Don't worry about it! No harm, no foul. Make sure the CPU power cable is firmly connected, and that it isn't a PCIe power cable.
