couldn't locate a response online. perhaps another person has experience, but i suggest reaching out to their support for a clear solution, especially given the recent launch of these items. https://www.ekwb.com/customer-care/

EK-FC1080 GTX is a fresh Full-Cover water block tailored for NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition graphics cards. From the announcement, it's clear that this product isn't compatible with the Founders Edition PCB, which suggests it may not function as intended. The Seahawk EK X already offers a complete waterblock, indicating possible future updates for gaming models. For now, it remains suitable only for FE cards.

No, it doesn't work with that waterblock because it uses a custom PCB. EK needs to design a custom water block for it, which they can handle. They usually make these in partnership with EVGA for their FTW and classified cards. It's unclear if they're producing an MSI Gaming X model yet, but unless they contact them directly, it's uncertain. Unless the Sea Hawk and Gaming X/Z share the same PCB, which seems unlikely.

as mentioned, they already created a seahawk with EK block on it

$809. I don't believe the seahawk is FE-based but rather custom-made due to its 6 and 8 pin power requirements. A gaming x block might be arriving soon, though I have no idea when. Just "soon"

Up until now, liquid cooling appears to offer little benefit because the air-cooled cards seldom reach a thermal limit.
It looks like the GPU has limited room for overclocking. This isn't about power consistency or heat management—it’s more about the chip itself.
