This budget motherboard comes with solid ratings and positive feedback. I won’t upgrade my 9700k or add more hardware unless quantum CPUs become available for desktops. Should it meet my needs? Probably not—just enough for basic use with my existing Wi-Fi card.

You can easily trigger it, especially if you skip the OC process and other stuff. It’ll get the job done without extra costs for WiFi or Bluetooth. Since you already have a WiFi card, this board will work well and the 9700k is a strong choice for gaming—performance is similar to a 9900k.

If you promise not to push the processor beyond its limits and prefer something simple, buying a Z board with a basic K CPU might not be worthwhile.

With the employee discount, I received $9,700 for a price of $190. The non-discounted option isn't available in the store.

The VRMS scores a 7 out of 10, indicating they are generally reliable.

Consider a Gigabyte board with VRM phase 12 + 4, as it doesn’t overheat like Asus components. For a system based on 9700k, this provides extra stability. If you’re not overclocking, an ASUS board works well too. Alternatively, an MSI motherboard with the 9700k will also perform nicely. Just pick whichever fits your comfort zone.

No Z390 gigabyte boards under $135 offer good value for performance or cooling, unless you plan to upgrade your budget.
