There is a option in bios of dram timing mode : its values are link, unlink, auto. I am using different sticks of ram. Corsair vengeance lpx 8gb 3200mhz ddr4 ram and adata xpg gammix d30 8gb 3200mhz ddr4 ram. Both have same latency at xmp that is cl 16.. After enabling xmp in bios, both run at cl 16 at dual channel.. Here dram timing is set to link in bios. What if I change it to auto, will it mess with the timing, or otherwise. Will auto mode will give me some extra performance.

Generally it will connect automatically. Removing links is only useful in a few rare cases and should be avoided unless absolutely needed.
