Current runs at 3200 using the XMP profile. No additional modules available for testing.

Thanks! It looks like the CPU overheating was the main issue. Just a tiny adjustment to the cooler screws resolved it. Others on forums mentioned replacing the PSU and tweaking motherboard pressure as possible fixes. I relocated the build, adjusted pressure on the motherboard, swapped cables, which helped until the B-Channel failed.

I reviewed my invoice and was shocked to see a 24-month warranty listed. It was mentioned only on the website with a 12-month period. I reached out to the retailer, who advised me to return it free of charge. After further testing, they confirmed no defects were found. I provided a thorough description of the issue, and they conducted additional tests. They pointed out a problem with the 24 socket pin after my detailed explanation. Their response was similar to the initial one—they hadn’t noticed the first time. I appreciated that they eventually identified the fault.

Key takeaway: Often, retailers or specialists overlook hardware defects and simply return items without inspecting properly. They sometimes involve third parties like MSI for assessments, which can lead confusion. I was relieved they resolved the matter after further investigation.

My decision now is to accept the refund without further questions. I’ll keep the money, add an extra 60€, and purchase a new Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO AX with a 2-year warranty from Amazon. This way, I can fix the problem without risking more issues.

Investing in newer hardware like this in 2024 seems questionable, but I don’t want to spend on new RAM or a processor right now. This equipment should suffice for a few years.

Key takeaway: Often, retailers or specialists overlook hardware defects and simply send items back. They sometimes involve third parties like MSI for assessment, which can lead to confusion about responsibility. I resolved the matter by accepting a refund without further details.

I’m considering purchasing a new GPU from Amazon instead, adding a warranty, to avoid future issues. My only alternatives are ASUS or Gigabyte, but it feels unnecessary to buy new components right now. This equipment should suffice for a few years.
