Found one used for $80. Worth it? Vs B450 Aorus Pro Wifi. Does B550 work with 1000/2000 series Ryzen out the box?

B450 offers native compatibility with 1000 and 2000 series chipsets. Many B450 units run BIOS versions that cover 3000 series, though only specific models do so. No models come with a 5000 series BIOS out of the box, as these are typically labeled as beta releases. Although updates are available online for most motherboards, the BIOS versions remain technically in development stages.
I've never encountered a B450 model that doesn't include the Ryzen 5000 processor.
That makes sense. I only purchase boards with BIOS flashback features, making it easy to flash a BIOS using a USB drive. It seems the person asking might be trying to bypass that.
My Aorus M was shipped with a 3000 series BIOS, but I needed to upgrade to F60e, which meant it didn’t support the 5000 series right out of the box. The F60, F61, and F62 models are the updates for the 5000 series. Fortunately, my Aorus M came with the 3000 series BIOS after all.
I recently purchased a B450 Aorus Pro with Wi-Fi on eBay. The main concern now is whether to go for 3600 or 2700x settings.
