MSI B450 Tomahawk max XMP profile doesn't recognize any memory despite having two RAM sticks installed.
Hello, my name is Tushar Moily and I hail from India. I bought a new gaming desktop last week. Here are its details: 1) MSI B450 Tomahawk motherboard, 2) AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, 3) Aorus RTX 2060 with 8GB DDR5 triple fans, 4) Corsair Vengeance LPX 2 x 8GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, 5) Corsair VS650 power supply, 6) WD 240GB NVMe M.2 SSD, 7) Cooler Master Masterbox H501 ATX case. I'm running Windows 10 Pro x64 (10.0, Build 18363) and my BIOS was set on 07/11/2019. Photos show my RAM sticks are at the advertised speeds of 3200MHz. However, XMP Profile 2 isn't displaying any. When using two sticks in slots 2 and 4, both should recognize their own profiles. The system reports 16GB total but only shows 8GB. While I don’t notice performance drops during games like Call of Duty: Warzone, it’s unusual for XMP Profile 2 to be inactive. Could you confirm if the sticks are seated correctly or if there’s an issue with the BIOS settings? Your feedback is welcome!
Yes, it's typical for XMP Profile 2 to display a blank or no data area.
