Whenever I begin Msi afterburner in Battlefield 1, it often crashes during launch or in the middle of the game. The exact reason isn't clear to me.

Verify that Afterburner doesn’t attempt to load an OC profile upon opening it.

I haven't increased the GPU's clock speed yet, and this issue began about two to three weeks ago, after everything had been working well. I just use it for monitoring system stats and adjusting fan speeds.

Is the on-screen monitoring feature active? It might lead to a crash.

I turned off the live display feature, yet I'm still stuck in restarting the application.

unusual person appeared in that situation—I’m not sure unless your RAM is completely full and overloaded. I did have an incident where AfterBunny crashed my game because the game guard mistakenly treated it as a cheating engine. That’s something I’ve heard about before. Maybe that’s what happened?

They included that function in the autumn patch. No built-in fans for me 😅. Also, note that using Afterburner only works when it's active.

using afterbunny and exiting after applying an OC usually keeps it active, though you can't change that setting. You're right—this is something I've noticed before, especially since I haven't used afterbunny recently.

Me Neither. Attached is My BF1 RT setup. Works fine, 99% of the time I can also "Block" it and re-enable it using a hotkey while in game, however 1% of the time it may crash the game trying to re-load/inject or whatever it does. I just choose at the start whether I want it or not and just go with it.
