MSI Afterburner not functioning...
In short, I added an anti-cheat program called Faceit Anticheat and it flagged Afterburner as an unwanted app. After rebooting my PC, when I tried to run MSI Afterburner, the same issue occurred. I disabled Faceit completely in both startup and services, but the problem persisted. I also reinstalled my display driver and updated Windows 10, yet nothing resolved it. My system specs are: Ryzen 7 3800X, Nvidia RTX 2080, 16 GB 3200, Windows 10 version 1909.
I experienced the same problem last night.
Downloaded the latest driver for your GPU.
Used DDU to uninstall the current driver.
Restarted the system.
Installed the latest driver for your GPU.
Restarted again.
The issue was resolved.
Or at least it worked for me.
I tried using DDU to remove the current driver and reinstalling the newest one, and also re-installed Afterburner. But Afterburner still didn't recognize my GPU, even though Device Manager and other programs did.
What finally fixed it was installing the second latest driver.

Hey there, the fix is here if you're still stuck. Just navigate to settings > apps > install/delete > delete Faceit AC. Got it?
