MSI Afterburner and Adrenalin aren't showing accurate CPU stats in Task Manager.
Hello! This is my first time sharing updates online. I just assembled my initial PC using an old machine I received and swapped out many parts with items I found at a used store. Here are the details:
- Intel i5 10400F with OEM fan
- PowerColor Hellhound RX 6600
- Corsair Vengeance 16GB RAM (speed boosted from 2400MHz to 2667MHz via XMP)
- Asrock H510M-HDV/M.2
- Kingston 480GB SSD + Seagate 2TB HDD
- Talius 600W PSU (unchanged)
- Standard Mars Gaming case (retained from previous build)
The system works fine overall, but I’m having trouble tracking CPU usage during gaming sessions. When using demanding games like RPCS3, my usage stays under 20%, while the fan clearly increases. AMD Adrenalin drivers show similar low percentages, but Task Manager indicates full processor load. I haven’t adjusted BIOS settings beyond enabling XMP, and I’m not sure what might be causing this discrepancy. If you have any insights or solutions, I’d really appreciate your advice!
