MSI 970 Gaming Motherboard paired with AMD FX-8320 (Potential Serious Overheating)
Hey guys,
Setup:
MSI 970 Gaming Motherboard, AMD FX-8320, GTX 960, Corsair H50, Thermaltake 750W
Problem:
Overheating (80C+)
I've attempted to adjust settings in the BIOS, on the catalyst control center, and within MSI command center, but nothing seems to work. The motherboard includes a "Slow Mode" switch; when enabled, temperatures stay under 25°C, yet performance drops significantly. This is essentially my only option. I've purchased six new fans for the tower, inspected the CPU for bent pins, re-seated it, and reapplied thermal paste multiple times over the past year.
I'm not interested in overclocking at all.
If anyone can assist or spot something I'm missing, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks!
