Moving the operating system solely to an SSD.
Hello everyone. I recently purchased a 120 Gb Samsung 850 EVO and intended to use it as my boot drive. However, I'm having trouble transferring Windows to it. I attempted to make a bootable USB, but the product key isn't being recognized because it's already installed on the HDD. I'm not sure how to get Windows onto my SSD. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Use any cloning tool to achieve this. Transfer everything you don’t need from the SSD to an external drive, then continue with the cloning process.
They offer a free version with all the features you need. These cloning tools don't seem to have much difference.
