Moving Steam games to another disc
Moving Steam games to another disc
So, if I’m trying to transfer my Steam games to a different drive, do I need to move everything – like any extra plugins – or just the main game files?
Here’s how to find and manage your Steam games:
First, open the Steam app itself. Then, go into **Settings** and select **Downloads**. From there, you'll find your **Steam Library Folders**. To add a new folder where you want to store your games, just click “Add library folder.”
If you already have a game installed in a different location, simply **right-click on the game** in your library and choose **Properties**. Then, go to the **Local Files** section to change where the game is actually installed.
Just so you know, this covers everything related to the game – including any downloadable content. You can find instructions on how to transfer your game library here and here.
