Today I planned to upgrade my motherboard, processor, and RAM on my gaming PC. I’m curious if I should update the drivers before making changes. Both machines are running Windows 7, and I just need to swap the hard drives. I want to ensure everything works smoothly after the switch.

Another chipset could indicate an issue later, possibly requiring a fresh Windows install with new drivers available.

Remove the previous drivers and add the new ones for your updated system. You may need to turn Windows back on.
