Moving from Multi OS to One is a straightforward change.
As the headline indicates, I'm reducing the number of computers I use and the OS they run. Initially, I retired my 2008 Mac Pro which worked fine but had USB problems and was becoming outdated, while my hobbies shifted away from its original purpose. As a replacement, I've added more programs to my gaming PC, which now serves as my main system running Windows 8.1 (potentially Windows 10 if driver issues didn't affect my graphics card). My mobile device has also changed; I previously owned a 2014 MacBook Air that didn’t meet all my needs. I really desired a tablet and laptop but often felt like I wasn’t using them enough or wanted to switch between devices for different tasks. That’s why I chose the Surface Pro 4. Now I’m using 80% Mac OS and 20% Windows, which has been surprising at first but is now very satisfying. The Surface Pro 4 helped solidify my decision, making my old Mac Pro seem like a distant memory—almost as if it needed to go to a different world. No real reason I need to sell anything to upgrade; my gaming PC is powerful enough for my current needs. Do you have any similar experiences?
