Hi everyone, I'm trying to figure out a weird issue I'm facing. Every time I move or scroll my mouse, a high-pitched whine comes through. It's 110% of normal and really bothersome. Could there be a cause behind this sound? Is there anything I can do to fix it? Thanks for any suggestions!

Do you know which mouse you're using? Assuming it's a low-end Chinese model might be incorrect. If so, consider getting a better one with decent quality.

I'm using headphones and five speakers connected to my setup. The audio isn't clearly pinpointed, but it's present. My mouse cable is positioned beneath my amplifier, so I'll test it and let you know the outcome.

Absolutely, that might be the cause—especially with a wireless mouse. The main concern is whether the sound comes from the mouse itself or from the audio output gear when it's being moved.

As @L.Lawliet mentioned, there’s an issue with your audio. I’m experiencing the same problem too. Try disconnecting the cable and check if the noise diminishes or becomes much quieter. It doesn’t seem to be caused by your mouse—just some cables that are twisted together.

Turn off all your speakers and headphones to check if the sound remains audible.

I own an inexpensive wireless mouse that makes a high-pitched whine when it moves, possibly from a condenser inside the same setup as the laser.

You're likely thinking the mouse motion is responsible for the coil whine, not the coil whine originating from the mouse itself. Try removing your mouse from the pad and move the cursor manually to pinpoint the source—my belief is it may be related to the GPU.

It seems the issue is related to the movement of the mouse. I tried relocating the cable away from the rat's nest and then to the front USB port, but the problem persists. The whine continues even when both headphones and amplifier are off.

It seems unclear why the sound persists despite moving the cable. Check if there are any loose connections or interference sources.
