Yesterday I chose to move my Windows from the old hard drive to a new SSD. Initially everything functioned properly, but after deleting all remaining files from the old drive, I encountered issues. Initially it would start and display the error "reboot or select proper boot device would come up." In BIOS I saw four choices: the old hard drive, the new SSD, Windows boot manager for HDD, and Windows boot manager for SSD. I tested all four but none worked. The BIOS would repeatedly crash during this process. After 24 hours it stopped showing up at all, leaving just a black screen. I tried connecting the monitor to the motherboard, cleared CMOS by bridging pins, but nothing changed. Removing the hard drive didn’t help either. I really need assistance. EDIT 1: All fans lit up (CPU, GPU, cooler) and RAM was fine. EDIT 2: I managed to boot from the SSD once, but when I tried to restart it it refused. Specs: Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus Elite V2 CPU: Ryzen 7 Storage: 1TB hard drive and a 250GB NVMe SSD from Crucial GPU: RTX 3060 8GB

you might want to restart the hdd to fix issues, but doing so could slow down your pc and cause more problems. it’s possible you damaged your windows or didn’t back up the data correctly. how did you transfer it?

Try accessing the BIOS without using the SSD. It could indicate a faulty storage device.

I previously stored it on the HDD until I upgraded to a new SSD, using EaseUS to transfer it over.

I successfully restored the SSD once before. That time I removed the previous files from the HDD.

Understood. If you can't submit, it means the files aren't being processed. They remain unexamined during submission.

Im not sure if it is posting or not because there are no debug beeps. It just shows a black screen. It used to POST and manage to get in the bios but not for long until it would just freeze. Didnt think itd be possible for the bios to freeze

Are there any debug lights showing up? Consider reseating your GPU, CPU, and RAM.

Yes, there are fans spinning—GPU, CPU, or case fans.

the motherboard doesn't show any debug indicators, i've looked over the manual. it's strange since i haven't used the pc much lately (internally) and it started up and ran properly once.
